Dr. Adam Hartley is a retired educator, holding a variety of leadership positions throughout his career that includes Executive Director of Alternative Education for the Lansing School District, Superintendent of Fenton Area Public Schools, Assistant Superintendent of Swartz Creek Community Schools, Principal in Birmingham Public Schools, and Principal in Flushing Community School District. Adam has founded two alternative high schools, a non-profit organization aimed at inspiring youth and is co-owner of iWellness Center, a software platform designed to engage and connect students to improve their overall well being.  He now volunteers his time at 2nd Street Learning, his wife’s non-profit organization with the mission of engaging, empowering, and equipping youth with the tools they need to thrive.

MTSS: There's a Story Behind Every Number [Teaching & Learning]

Swartz Creek Community Schools has pioneered MTSS for many years, focusing on academic and behavioral interventions. Over the last five years, the district has prioritized mental wellness at the Tier 1, 2, and 3 levels. Most recently, SC has been using weekly wellness survey data to understand the mental health of all students. This session will provide insight into the why, what, and how of making mental wellness an integral part of your MTSS plan.

Focus: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion/School Safety/Mental Health & Wellness/Teaching & Learning.
